Geo-climate
So characteristic of the Mediterranean basin, the olive tree thrives in a dry subtropical climate, resists drought, high temperatures, and, for short periods, temperatures below zero. It requires aerated soils and light in abundance.Typical of dry environments, the sativas thirst is satiated by natural precipitation that accumulates in the soil, which does not mean that, in long drought spells, there is no need for irrigation. Without pruning or another type of intervention, the tree can reach a height of 10 metres.
